Continuing Education and Custom Training offers a variety of programming to support professional growth, talent development, and personal enrichment for our region. Programs are offered in many formats, including open enrollment or public offerings and customized experiences for organizations – including credit, noncredit, occupation/industry credential, and online, onsite at Normandale, or on site at an organization.
Individuals and employers appreciate learning experiences in areas like healthcare, IT, data analytics, change management, agile methodology and quality assurance. Normandale also delivers learning to support high performance work skills such as leadership, resiliency, creativity, accountability, teamwork, problem solving, inclusion, and wellness.
Normandale offers several learning formats.

- Live Online Classes that give you structured support and the flexibility to learn wherever you are.
- In-Person Instruction where you can meet your instructor and your classmates in person for an immersive, highly engaging learning experience.
- Blended Learning that incorporates a mix of self-paced, live online, and in-person instruction.
- Workshops that allow you to build skills in just a day or two.
Normandale offers courses in two ways:
Scheduled: Our professional development courses are scheduled on a regular basis. Check our registration website as new programs and dates are continually added.Custom: Courses and programs without a date or specific registration information indicate a custom option, which works well for employers and workforce agencies looking to provide training to a group of employees or individuals.

Registering for your professional development coursework at Normandale is easy. You can browse and register for courses online or give us a call at 952-358-8343 to learn more about your options. When you register online, you’ll immediately receive an email confirmation and receipt for your courses. Advanced registration is encouraged for all programs and must be accompanied by payment or charge authorization. Normandale accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover payments for course fees.
Once you’re registered, you’ll receive all class change and cancellation notifications via email and/or phone. The college reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. A 100% refund of your registration fee will be issued if a class is cancelled by the college.
